Client Testimonials
Brought in my late father's Seiko 5 that had been sitting in a drawer for close to eight years. Hafiz was straightforward about what was needed and the estimate was exactly what I paid. The watch keeps better time than it ever did — the before-and-after graphs made the difference visible. That was not something I expected to receive.
My quartz watch stopped a week before an important event. I walked in on a Tuesday morning and had it back the same afternoon. The gaskets were replaced, the crown seal was renewed, and it passed a pressure test. I did not expect it to be that efficient without feeling rushed. A calm place.
A vintage Longines from 1968 with a partially worn cannon pinion. Two other workshops in Penang told me the part was not available and suggested "alternatives." Here they machined a replacement. It took six weeks, which was what they quoted. I collected a watch that functions exactly as it should. I am grateful for that.
I appreciated that they photographed the watch at intake and gave me a record before they touched anything. It sounds like a small thing, but it showed that they take responsibility for what they receive. The service was done correctly and on time. No drama.
Had a Tissot with a chronograph module that another workshop said was seized. Intan Masa took it in without hesitation, separated the modules, and had it running within five weeks. The one thing I would note is that they do not give frequent updates unless you ask — that is fine once you understand that no news usually means the work is on track.
A simple battery and seal change. They replaced both gaskets without me asking, tested the water resistance, and cleaned the bracelet. The service cost RM 95 which matches what is shown on their materials. I have already told two people about this place.
Case Studies
1971 Longines Ultra-Chron — Dormant Movement, Worn Escapement
The watch had not been opened in at least twelve years. The escapement showed visible wear on the lever pallet tips, and the mainspring had set badly. Sourcing a matching escapement lever for this calibre proved impossible through available supply channels.
After full disassembly and cleaning, the workshop machined a replacement pallet lever in-house, matching the original geometry. The mainspring was replaced from stock. The movement was regulated across five positions over ten days following reassembly.
The watch now runs to +4 seconds per day in the worn position. A realistic outcome for a movement of this age. The client received the timing records and a note on expected performance variation with temperature. Total duration: seven weeks.
"I had been told this watch could not be fixed. I am glad I asked one more time." — TC, Tanjung Bungah
Valjoux 7750 Chronograph — Jammed Column Wheel
The chronograph stopped engaging on the start pusher. The column wheel was stuck due to debris and dried lubricant. The base calibre was also overdue for service, with timing variance approaching 45 seconds per day.
Module separated from base calibre. Both were cleaned independently. The column wheel and associated levers were freed, inspected, and replaced where worn. Base calibre received a full service. All seals renewed on reassembly.
Chronograph functions correctly across all three pushers. Base movement regulated to +3 seconds per day. Client collected with full documentation and a timing comparison graph. Duration: five weeks.
"Five weeks was what they told me. Five weeks is what it took." — RK, Bukit Mertajam
Seiko SKX009 — Corroded Crown Tube, Depth Concern
The diver had been worn in the sea without a recent service. The crown tube showed external corrosion and the original crown seal had hardened. The client used the watch regularly at depth and wanted assurance of water resistance before continuing to do so.
Crown tube replaced, new crown fitted, all case-back and crown seals renewed. The movement received a full clean and service as the oil had degraded. Pressure tested to 20 bar static following reassembly — the rated depth of the watch.
Passed pressure test with no reading change. Movement regulated to +6 seconds per day. Client received the pressure test result in writing. Returned to use within fourteen days of intake.
"The written test result gave me confidence. Worth every ringgit." — KL, George Town
